Of Counts, Bailiffs and Citizens

Of Counts, Bailiffs and Citizens
Once upon a time, Werdenberg Castle was a fortress and one of many residences of the Counts of Werdenberg. Later on, the Bailiffs of Glarus turned it into a representative castle. And in the 19th century, the Hilty family made it their summer residence. Today, the castle is not only a museum, but also a place where culture happens. Join our classic castle tour and experience 800 years of history within the walls of this remarkably well preserved icon.
